JULES MUNRO
Jules Munro provides entertainment industry clients with commercially pragmatic advice, ranging from contract negotiation and drafting to licensing, strategic business and deal structures and litigation. Beyond music, Jules draws clients from the film, television and media industries, as well as clients involved in information technology and intellectual property.
A musician in his own right, Jules' practical and personal experience of the music industry gives him a valuable insight into the concerns of clients in that sector.
He is the President of Music New South Wales, a non-profit association set up to represent, promote and develop the contemporary music industry in New South Wales, Australia (See the website www.musicnsw.com) and an active volunteer lawyer with the Arts Law Centre of Australia, where he provides free legal advice to the members of the Centre in relation to the arts and entertainment industries.
He regularly gives addresses to various bodies on music industry matters, both as a keynote speaker and as a panel member. He is a guest lecturer in Entertainment Law at the Southern Cross University.
Jules is a member of the Copyright Society of Australia and a member of the Australasian Performing Right Association. |
