ASC 2008

The Australian Songwriters Conference is a four day event, to be held Friday 6th to Monday 9th June 2008, taking advantage of the Queen's Birthday long weekend. We are proud to announce that the conference will take place in the beautiful surrounds of Ettalong Beach Club and Mantra Resort, just one hour north of Sydney on the NSW central coast.

Although songwriting camps and conferences are regularly held overseas, particularly in the USA, there has never been a conference of this scope, designed specifically for songwriters, held in Australia.

The ASC is unique in that it will be open to all songwriters, regardless of age, location, songwriting experience or genre. Songwriters do not need to be members of existing organisations, and the conference seminars, workshops and other activities will be relevant to both performing and non-performing songwriters.

The conference agenda includes seminars and workshops, song pitching to attending Publishers, mixing with the professional songwriters and A&R faculty members in a relaxed and creative and intimate atmosphere, fantastic networking opportunities and nightly Open Mics and informal late-night jam sessions. Bring your instruments!

You can perform your original material at the Open Mics each night of the conference! After dinner attendees will have the opportunity to play their songs to attendees, Faculty members in attendance, and other guests.
