Conference Entry
All songwriters regardless of their music genre, age, location, culture or gender can register for the Australian Songwriters Conference.
All the main seminars will be genre non-specific, so it doesn't matter what genre you write, you will definitely benefit from them. The seminars run by our Australian songwriter professionals will deal with specific genres. So far, we will definitely cover Pop, R&B/Urban, Rock, Country, Christian, Blues/Roots and Folk, and Production as these are the most popular genres. Our decisions on other genres to be covered will be based on the information we receive from your sign up forms. If, for example, there are enough Hip Hop or Children's songwriters attending to warrant a seminar discussion on those genres, we will endeavour to fill that need.
In general, the Australian SOngwriters Conference does not include seminars on topics such as performance, promoting myself/my band, increasing CD sales, getting a record deal, etc. There are plenty of festivals, expos and conferences that deal with these topics already. The ASC is designed to help you become a better songwriter and whilst there will be seminars and activitiesfocusing on how to produce a good demo of your songs, how to approach publishers, and the various markets where songs are used, around 80% of the seminars relate to the actual craft of songwriting.
Family and friends will be welcome at our opening and closing speeches as well as the attendee Open Mic performances, however all other conference activities are for paying attendees only.
An exception to this rule will be made for any conference attendee under the age of 18 years as they must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and for attendees with a disability requiring assistance throughout the day. Please note that only one accompanying adult will be permitted into the conference with an underage attendee.
Young children will not be permitted into the conference activities, so please make adequate arrangements for their care during the conference.

How do I get from Sydney's Kingsford-Smith airport to the hotel?
Contact "Kings & Queens" airport shuttle service on 1300 559 657 and tell them you're attending the Australian Songwriters Conference. You'll get a discount and be picked up from the airport and transported in air-conditioned comfort right to the venue (and back again). Easy!
I'm driving to the venue and need directions.
- From Sydney head north on the Sydney – Newcastle Freeway
- Take the Gosford /WoyWoy exit, through Kariong and turn right at the second set of traffic lights (immediately after the Shell Service Station on your right hand side). Follow this road down the hill, over the railway line and to the traffic lights (Blackwall Road) – turn right.
- Follow Blackwall Road around the mountain, passing a few commercial shops & Bogas service station until you come to a roundabout (Memorial Road)– turn left – take the second turn to the right into Picnic Parade (Resort sign at this intersection).
- Follow Picnic Parade to the shops and turn left into Ocean View Road – the resort is approx 500 metres up the road on your left – see map below. The motel entry and car park is located in Schnapper Road (Left off Ocean View at the Resort).
